Parents

All Better Together is here to provide the highest quality of service possible so your child meets his or her potential.

To meet that potential, we know it requires a lasting commitment from us. We know, just as importantly, it requires you.  You’ve been there from day one, with your child every step of the way.

WHAT IS ABA?

Children with autism or other developmental delays may not always learn in the same way as others. With applied behavior analysis (ABA), we create learning opportunities in ways shown to be most effective for those on the spectrum and beyond.

ABA is a method of teaching that involves breaking down new skills or behaviors into incremental steps, and rewarding your child’s success every step of the way through positive reinforcement strategies.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

Starting with the assessment process, one of our experienced Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) will meet with you and observe your child to identify your child’s strengths, skill deficits, and any challenging behaviors. Depending on circumstances and family needs, our BCBAs can conduct assessments via telehealth with a HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platform.

We will design a treatment plan to meet your child’s needs, and one of our highly trained Behavior Technicians (BTs or RBTs) will work one-on-one with your child. Sessions may take place in your home, in your child’s school, in the community, or virtually via telehealth.

You are the most important member of your child’s team!  We provide ongoing parent training and education that will give you the tools and confidence to implement strategies with your child outside of sessions.

Your child’s ABA team will meet for regular Team Meetings to review progress. Participants include parents and other caregivers, BCBAs, and clinical staff.  In-home or elsewhere, Team Meetings allow your child’s entire team to review programs, receive updates, troubleshoot issues, and maintain a cohesive treatment plan that supports your child’s ongoing success.
